James was approached with a blank space and an incredibly trusting client, offering the freedom to create and work closely together. This collaboration often leads to some of his favorite designs. The project involved crafting 100 tiny abstract cast glass fish, delicately hung with fine silver thread to form a captivating 'bait ball' that mimics the movement of fish in the ocean. Ingeniously, each fish contains a miniature LED discreetly placed at the top, emitting a warm glow that illuminates the glass, creating a dazzling effect as light dances off their scales. This large-scale sculpture, set for completion in late 2020, is a testament to the beauty that emerges when creativity and trust intertwine in a private commission.
