James was presented with a blank canvas and an incredibly trusting client, which allowed him the freedom to create and collaborate closely. This partnership often results in some of his favorite designs. The project involved crafting 100 tiny abstract cast glass fish, delicately suspended with fine silver thread to form a captivating 'bait ball' that mimics the movement of fish in the ocean. Ingeniously, each fish contains a miniature LED discreetly positioned at the top, emitting a warm glow that illuminates the glass and creates a dazzling effect as light dances off their scales. This large-scale sculpture, scheduled for completion in late 2020, stands as a testament to the beauty that emerges when creativity and trust intertwine in a private commission.
