Four Points by sheraton
2018
In 2018, James Russ embarked on an impactful project involving the creation of sculptural lights for the renowned Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Auckland. The focal point of this endeavor was the Queenshead ballroom, where the requirement was for large-scale feature lights that seamlessly transitioned from providing task lighting to setting a tranquil, ambient atmosphere when dimmed. The outcome was a stunning fusion of modern LED technology and artistic finesse, manifested through thin lights sculpted in sweeping curves. These innovative designs, a collaborative effort between James Russ, Statement ID, and Studio Design and Architecture, offer a sensory journey akin to sparklers gracefully meandering through the air, adding a touch of magic to the hotel's ambiance.
